The Hello Atlas app

The Hello Atlas is a beautifully illustrated children’s book written by Ben Handicott and illustrated by Kenard Pak. It was published by Wide Eyed Editions, an imprint of Quarto Publishing Group. The publisher wanted to create an app to further the learning opportunities the book offers. Parents and children have the opportunity to learn to say ‘hello’ and other introductory phrases in over 100 languages.

The app was created for mobile and tablet on iOS and Android platforms. It uses artwork from the book, combined with audio in different languages to give users a chance to hear and learn simple phrases.

Sarah devised the app for Quarto Publishing Group from scratch and set up the structure and all processes and development accounts for the client with the App store and Google Play. The app was also translated and released in all formats for the Taiwanese market, following success in Europe. iOS and Android development by Dan Wichett.
